The lonely Voyage

In the volume of universe, the black holes pull the stars and bodies unto themselves. The surface of a black hole comprises of matter with high density. Towards it’s center, the matter collapses to a stage where time and space become null.

The family of Mathews had leased a shuttle to go to a Black Hole – H. Their belief was to reinvent their lives by gaining control over time using the gravitational pull of the hole.

While still away from the black-hole H, the family of Mathews experienced strange empowerment in senses- something that comes from knowledge being added without effort, something like enlightenment. They were discovering new facets of their space ship and about them selves, but were physically weak.

On a particular day, the father called all family members to the engine and related his experience. He said that while cleaning the dishes he saw water drops taking shapes as he imagined. The son said that he could jog for minutes without getting exhausted and the daughter said her desire to live is no more. The wife said nothing.

While the shuttle circled the black hole – H, the crew decided to put a coil outside the shuttle to generate electricity from the strong magnetic field. The son pulled out a cable from the shuttle radar- rolled it and connected to transformers and adjusted the assembly outside the shuttle.

One day the mother was not feeling well so she requested Dad to cook. Dad was irritated as he discovered that he had forgotton where he kept the password to his personal lavatory, the patience of mom broke and she decided to teach everybody a lesson.

Mom asked her daughter to fetch a few nuts and wine.

With a nut with each, and wine the family had a strange dinner. Dad waited for everybody else to finish munching the nut before he started to munch his own nut. Sister repeatedly apologized for a sin she had committed. The mother was feeling deprived somehow- of glamour. Her husband was getting more engrossed in the mission to reach the end of time.

Daniel would generally understand and appreciate such manners from his mother while Agatha would feel insulted at being reminded of an ever increasing antipathy between her parents who led the crew on voyage to the beginning of the next time.

An evening was debated on the issue, “should the brother and sister resist each other?”

With nuts on certain days they wondered if this was all but a joke.
